Add a cover to your Pinterest board

To make this happen, you’ll need a picture for the cover that relates to the theme of your board. You can edit it using your favorite image editor or use Pinterest’s built-in editor to crop and resize. Personally, I find it easier to use a dedicated image editor like Paint.net or GIMP, but it’s totally up to you.

The ideal size for a Pinterest board cover is 2170 x 1460 pixels, but you can use any size you want and it will be adjusted to fit. Some people like to add text to their image – usually their username, brand, or website, along with a brief description of the board. I suggest considering this option, as it creates a better first impression and lets visitors know what to expect before they enter the board.

If you plan to use your own image or one you’ve edited, you’ll need to add it to the board first. Once it’s uploaded, you can select it as your board image.

1. Log in to Pinterest using your desktop browser. You can use a mobile device if you prefer, but the desktop is much easier for this task.
