Tired of those pesky ads on your Echo Show? Let me show you how to get rid of them!

Hey there! Are you tired of those annoying ads popping up on your Echo Show? I feel you! It can really disrupt the experience and make it hard to enjoy all the great features of your device. But don’t worry, I’ve got your back! In this guide, I’ll walk you through some simple steps to remove those ads and bring back a clean and ad-free interface.

Now, before we start, I want to let you know that this process can be a bit technical, but don’t let that discourage you. Just follow along, and you’ll be ad-free in no time!

First things first, make sure your Echo Show is connected to the internet. Without a connection, we won’t be able to make the necessary changes. Once you’re all set, let’s move on to the next step.

Open up your web browser on a computer or a smartphone. Now, here comes the fun part! I want you to type in the following web address: “alexa.amazon.com”. Hit enter, and you’ll be taken to the settings page of your Echo Show.

Okay, now that you’re on the settings page, look for the option that says “Device Settings” and click on it. This will bring up a list of all the devices associated with your Amazon account. Find your Echo Show from the list and select it.

Great! Now, scroll through the settings until you find a section called “Home Content”. This is where we’ll find the options to disable the ads. Click on it, and you’ll see a toggle switch that says “Enable Home Content”. Flip that switch to the off position, and voila! The ads are gone!

But wait, there’s more! While you’re on the settings page, take a look around and explore some other options. You can customize your Echo Show’s display, adjust the brightness, and even change the clock style. Make it truly yours!

So there you have it, my friend. By following these simple steps, you can remove those pesky ads from your Echo Show and enjoy a clean and ad-free experience. Now go ahead, enjoy all the features and functionality your device has to offer. Happy echoing!

If you haven’t been living under a rock for the past ten years, you’ve probably heard of Amazon Echo. It’s a smart home app that allows you to control your connected smart devices. Amazon Echo Show is an upgraded version of Echo that comes with a decent-sized screen. This adds video and touch capabilities to all the features we’re familiar with on Amazon Echo.

Amazon Echo Show may cost more than the regular Echo, but the added functionalities are definitely worth the price.

Design

One great thing Amazon did with Echo Show is putting the speakers on the back. This means that most of the device is taken up by the screen. This not only looks great, but also makes the device more compact and easier to place anywhere.

The device has a DC power port and a microUSB port, as well as volume controls and a privacy button on the back. The upper front side of Echo Show contains four out of the eight microphones, as well as the camera.

Essentially, it looks like a thicker tablet device. The screen is large enough to provide maximum visual and ergonomic comfort. It features adaptive brightness, a resolution of 1,280 x 800, white balance and contrast settings, and many other impressive features.

Alexa

Now, you might think that with the touchscreen, Alexa is no longer necessary. But that’s wrong. Just like any other Amazon device, Echo Show still relies on Alexa for the most part. Voice is still the primary way to communicate with Echo Show, and the screen is just an added bonus.

The setup process is incredibly simple, with Alexa taking care of all the hard work while you comfortably speak and follow Alexa’s instructions.

Echo Show adds a very important series of Amazon devices to the lineup. With its touchscreen functionality, you can now pair the new Echo device with Amazon camera devices, smart doorbells, and more. Yes, the touchscreen does make the device more expensive, but it’s definitely worth the investment. The only thing missing from an Amazon Echo device was a screen.

Touchscreen

You’ll be happy to hear that Echo Show devices don’t display ads. This is a good thing, as ads popping up when you’re not using the device would be incredibly annoying. Instead, when you’re not interacting with the device, Echo Show cycles through trending stories. These stories consist of pictures with captions, which you might find interesting.

But let’s be real, some people find these things just as annoying as ads and want to get rid of them. Luckily, you can easily do that from the settings screen. But here’s the thing, you can also add even more stuff to your home screen that you might not even like. You can have sports schedules, upcoming events, Alexa skills notifications, and a whole lot more. When it comes to customization, Echo Show is the king of Amazon devices.

However, it’s pretty clear that Amazon wants the Echo Show to be more of an “Echo” than a “Show”. That’s why you can’t access Alexa’s skills with the touch-screen. It might be frustrating, but Amazon made sure to only include features that make sense without touch.

On the bright side, the Echo Show does have a web browser, which is a really cool addition. You can choose between Firefox and Amazon’s Silk, and yes, you can use the virtual keyboard and voice search to find things.

Voice

Thanks to the decent screen size, YouTube finally makes sense on an Amazon device. But here’s the catch, you can’t directly voice-search on YouTube, you have to use the browser. It’s not Amazon’s fault though. However, you can do direct voice searches for Vevo music. On the downside, you can’t do that with Netflix, which is a bummer.

Amazon Echo Show

All things considered, the Amazon Echo Show is an amazing device, especially compared to the regular Echo. Yes, it’s pricey, but when you think about how responsive and well-designed the screen is, you won’t regret spending a little extra.
