Step 2: Customize your Bitmoji

Once the app is open, you’ll see your Bitmoji on the screen. Tap on the gear icon to enter the settings. From there, you can customize your Bitmoji’s appearance, including its facial features, hairstyle, and outfits. Take your time to make sure you’re happy with how your Bitmoji looks!

Step 3: Access the Earring Options

Now, it’s time to add those earrings! While customizing your Bitmoji, look for the “Accessories” section. It might be under the “Face” or “Outfits” category, depending on the app version. Once you find it, select “Earrings.”

Step 4: Choose your Earrings

Here comes the fun part: choosing the perfect pair of earrings for your Bitmoji. You’ll find various earring styles to choose from, including studs, hoops, and dangly earrings. Pick the ones that match your personal style or go for something different to make a statement!

Step 5: Adjust and Place the Earrings

Now that you’ve picked your earrings, it’s time to adjust them to fit your Bitmoji’s ears perfectly. Use the on-screen controls to rotate, resize, and position the earrings exactly how you want them. Take a moment to make sure they’re just right!

We all love emoji, right? Those little graphics that can say so much with just a tiny image. But have you ever heard of Bitmoji? It’s like emoji, but way cooler. Let me show you how to use and customize them!

Bitmoji was created by a small company that got snapped up by Snap Inc., the geniuses behind Snapchat. They wanted to give people a new way to express themselves with cute little cartoons and emoji.

To make your own Bitmoji, you just need to download the app. Once you’ve got it, you can link your Bitmoji to your social media accounts on Snapchat, Facebook, Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp, Gmail, Slack, and even iMessage. And if you want to use it on a platform that doesn’t have Bitmoji integration, you can simply copy and paste it in.

Creating Your Bitmoji

To make your own Bitmoji, first you need to create an account. Once you’re done, you’ll have access to all the tools you need to create your cartoon avatar. It only takes a few seconds to set up. You can either create a new account or log in using your Snapchat account. Either way, you’ll see a simple screen with a female and male character. Choose the one you want and start creating your Bitmoji.

You have the choice to upload a selfie and turn it into a Bitmoji, or create one from scratch. If you create your own, you can use the default Bitmoji style or a Bitstrips style. The Bitstrips style is a bit more realistic and offers more customization options, but feel free to use whichever one you prefer.

The process of creating a Bitmoji goes like this:

1. Select a male or female avatar.
2. Choose a face shape and a hairstyle from the options.
3. Scroll to the left at the bottom and pick an outfit.
4. Select an outfit from the available range.
5. Once you’re satisfied, click on Save at the top right.

Once you’ve completed the process, you can link your Bitmoji with your favorite social media apps and use it while chatting. But keep in mind that you might need to enable the Bitmoji keyboard for some apps that aren’t fully compatible.

1. Go to Settings, then General, Keyboard, and Keyboards.
2. Tap on Add New Keyboard and select Bitmoji.
3. Turn on the Bitmoji keyboard and toggle Allow Full Access to enable it.

Or you can follow these steps:

1. Go to Settings and select Language & Input.
2. Select Current Keyboards and Keyboards.
3. If not already enabled, turn on the Bitmoji keyboard and Gboard.
4. Make Gboard your default keyboard.

Customizing Your Bitmoji

Once you’ve created your Bitmoji, and if you chose the Bitstrips style instead of the default Bitmoji, you can customize your avatar even more. You can change your gender and other aspects of your cartoon character. To make any changes, use the Avatar Designer.

Adding an Earring to Your Bitmoji

A popular customization option is to add an earring to your Bitmoji. It’s a small detail, but if you wear earrings in real life, it makes sense to customize your avatar accordingly.

1. Open the Bitmoji app and select your avatar at the bottom. (Make sure your Bitmoji is in Bitstrips style)
2. Slide the item slider at the bottom to choose earrings.
3. Select the earrings you want to wear.
4. Save your changes.

You can customize Bitmoji avatars, but to do it, you need to convert them to Bitstrips or Bitmoji Deluxe.

1. In the Bitmoji app, tap on the settings cog menu icon located in the upper right-hand corner.
2. Select Change Avatar Style.
3. Swipe to the left and choose Bitstrips.
4. Make any desired changes and save.

Changing Your Clothes

Now that you have a new pair of earrings, it might be time to try out a new outfit too! You can change your outfit on Snapchat or within the Bitmoji app.

Did you know that Snapchat is linked to the Bitmoji app? If you have both installed, it’s a little easier to access your options using the social media platform.

Here’s how you can change your outfit on Snapchat:

1. Open Snapchat and tap your profile icon in the upper left-hand corner.
   
2. Scroll down and choose ‘Change Outfit’.
   
3. Select the one you like and tap ‘Save’ in the upper right-hand corner.

And here’s how you can change your outfit on the Bitmoji app:

1. Open the Bitmoji App on your phone.
2. Tap ‘Avatar’ in the lower left-hand corner.
   
3. Scroll along the bottom until you see the outfits option – It looks like a hanger.
   
4. Tap on the outfit you’d like to show.
5. Tap ‘Save’ in the upper right-hand corner.
   

More customizations for Bitmoji

You can change many aspects of your Bitmoji using the same steps as above. The item slider you used to add earrings to your avatar will also select all editable elements of your Bitmoji.

1. Open the Bitmoji app and select your avatar.
   
2. Slide the item slider at the bottom to select an item to change.
   
3. Make your changes and then save.

Get More Options with Bitmoji Deluxe

If you’d like even more options (especially hair treatments like Balayage), you can enable the Bitmoji Deluxe option. You won’t lose your previous avatars, but you can get more clothes, hairstyles, and accessories.

1. Open Bitmoji and tap the settings cog in the upper right-hand corner.
   
2. Tap ‘Change Avatar Style’.
   
3. Tap ‘Use This Style’ under the Deluxe option.
   

Use a selfie to create your Bitmoji

I mentioned earlier that you can use a selfie or create your Bitmoji from scratch. So far, we have created one ourselves. Now I’ll show you how to use a selfie. We will need to use Bitmoji Deluxe for this, but it is just as easy.

1. Open Bitmoji and select Bitmoji Deluxe.
   
2. Set a gender and then select Start with a Selfie.
3. Select Continue and take your selfie. Make sure your face is within the white circle as it uses this for the avatar.
4. Customize the look of your Bitmoji using your selfie in the center as a reference.
   
5. Select Save Avatar once this is done.
   

You can also update your avatar’s selfie from inside of Snapchat.

1. Tap on your Bitmoji in the upper left-hand corner.
   
2. Tap on ‘Select Selfie’.
   
3. Choose the one you’d like to showcase and confirm.
