How to Share Facebook Messages with Another Facebook Account
Hey there! Are you wondering how to pass on those important Facebook messages to another Facebook account? Well, I’ve got you covered! Let me guide you through the process.
First things first, let’s make sure your messages stay safe and secure. You’ll be glad to know that sharing messages on Facebook is easy peasy. Just follow these simple steps:
1. Open up Facebook and log in to your account. Head over to the message you want to share.
2. Look for the options menu, which is usually represented by three dots. Give it a click and a bunch of choices will pop up.
3. One of those options will be “Forward”. Go ahead and select it. You’ll see a new window appear with a list of your Facebook friends.
4. Now, here’s the fun part! Choose the friend or friends you want to send the message to. You can select multiple friends if you’d like. Just make sure to tick the little boxes next to their names.
5. Once you’ve made your selections, hit the “Forward” button. Ta-da! Your message is now on its way to the other Facebook accounts.
And voila! You’ve successfully shared your Facebook message with another account. Easy as pie, right?
Now, keep in mind that forwarded messages will be a separate conversation thread in your friends’ inboxes. This means they won’t see any previous messages or conversations related to that particular thread. Just something to keep in mind.
Alright, friend! You’re all set to pass on those important Facebook messages. Remember, sharing is caring! Happy forwarding!
So you want to forward messages on Facebook? Whether you’re a business owner or a private user, it’s pretty easy to share important information or interesting private messages with others.
And the best part is, you can even forward messages to multiple recipients. You can do this using either the Messenger app or your browser. But if you want to forward text messages instead of links or photos, you’ll need to use the app.
Either way, let me show you how to do it.
Forwarding from a Browser
Step 1
First, open Facebook in your browser. Then, click on the “Messages” icon in the upper-right section. Alternatively, you can select Messenger from the menu on the left to get a full-screen preview of all your chats. For this article, though, I’ll be using the Messenger option.
Step 2
Next, click on a conversation to open the chat. Now, hover your cursor over a message. This is where things can get a bit tricky in your browser.
If you want to share images, links, or videos, you’ll see a “Forward” icon right next to them. However, if you want to forward a text message, clicking on the “More” icon won’t give you any forwarding option.
Step 3
So, if you’re thinking about sharing a link, it’s actually pretty simple.
Like I mentioned earlier, all you have to do is click on the “Forward” icon and enter the name of the person or group you want to send it to. Then just hit send, and you’re done.
Forwarding Messages with the Messenger App
Step 1
To start forwarding a message, open the Messenger App on your smartphone or tablet. Find a conversation you want to access and tap on it to open the chat. Look for the message you want to forward and press on it to see more options.
Step 2
To forward a message, simply tap on the Forward option at the bottom. You can then select the person or group you want to send it to and hit Send.
If you want to create a new group, you can easily do that too. This can be really helpful for both business and personal purposes.
Getting Facebook Messages on Your Email
Unfortunately, the new Facebook system doesn’t let you directly forward messages to your email. This makes it a bit more difficult to copy and save messages. But is there a way around this?
Thankfully, there is! You can download your Facebook messages and then copy and paste them into a new email. Save the draft and you’ll have the messages in your email. It may take a few extra steps, but it’s a clever hack to have your messages in one place. You can also save them in Notes, a Word document, or any other way you prefer to back them up.
Backing Up Your Messages
If you can’t forward messages on your computer, it’s a good idea to back them up. This process is quick and easy, and you can even do it on your smartphone or tablet. We’ll show you how to do it on a computer, but the steps are similar for a mobile device too.
Step 1
To get started, open Facebook in your web browser. Then, click on the “Arrow” menu in the top-right corner and select Settings.
Step 2
In the Settings menu, click on “Your Facebook Information” from the options on the left. Then, select “Download Your Information.”
Step 3
Alright, so you’re looking to save your messages. Easy peasy. Just go ahead and untick everything else. Unless, of course, you’d like to back up some Photos and Videos, Likes, or Friends too. Your call. Once you’re set, click on Create File and sit tight while the download wraps up.
Just a heads up:
You’ve got some options when it comes to downloading your Facebook messages. You can select the date range, format, and media quality that work best for you. Choosing specific dates can come in handy if you’re backing up messages. And as for format and media quality, go with HTML and Medium – that should do the trick.
Once the download is finished, click the text link for your messages and easily copy and paste them into another program or wherever you want to keep them safe.
Customizing Messenger Settings
Get ready to fine-tune your Messenger experience. Click on the “gear” icon and go to Settings to access more actions. Here, you have the power to turn on or off your active status, disable annoying sounds, and even silence desktop notifications.
You’re also able to block messages or contacts that you’d rather not interact with. Plus, you can manage payments if that’s your thing. And hey, they’ve got a decent selection of emojis that showcase different ethnicities. That’s something, right?
It would be nice if future Facebook updates included some forwarding options, but for now, we’ll have to make do with what we’ve got.
The Final Word on Message Forwarding
When it’s all said and done, using the mobile app is your best bet if you want to forward Facebook messages – whether they’re text, links, images, or videos. Maybe this is the way the social media giant wants to push us towards the app, who knows? But don’t give up hope just yet. The forwarding option might make a comeback to the desktop in the future. Until then, you can always create backups through your browser and copy and paste the messages you want to share.
