So, you want to save your Google Photos to your phone’s gallery? No worries, it’s actually pretty easy. Follow these steps:

  1. First, open the Google Photos app on your smartphone.
  2. Next, choose the photo you want to save. Just tap on it.
  3. Now, look for the three dots icon in the top-right corner of the screen, and tap on it.
  4. You’ll see a few options. Tap on “Download.”
  5. And that’s it! The photo will now be downloaded and saved to your phone’s default gallery.

If the photo you selected is already on your phone, you won’t see the “Download” option.

Save All Photos

If you want to save all your Google Photos to your phone, you have a couple of options. Here’s what you need to do:

  1. Open the Google Photos app on your phone.
  2. In the top-right corner of the screen, tap on your account image.
  3. A menu will appear. Tap on “Manage your Google Account.”
  4. Now, go to the “Data & personalization” tab.
  5. Scroll down until you find “Download, delete or make a plan for your data.”
  6. Tap on “Download your data.”
  7. You’ll be taken to Google Takeout. Tap on “Deselect all.”
  8. Scroll down until you find “Google Photos” and tap on the checkbox next to it.
  9. At the bottom of the page, click on “Next step.”
  10. In the next screen, make sure the delivery method is set to “Send download link via email.”
  11. Set the “Frequency” to “Export once.”
  12. The “File type & size” should be set to “.zip” and “2 GB.”
  13. Finally, tap on “Create export.”

Once Google finishes preparing your download, you’ll receive an email with a link. Use that link to download the .zip file containing all your photos. After the download is complete, you can unzip the archive on your phone. Your photos will then be available in your phone’s gallery. If you’d like, you can create a new folder or use an existing one when unzipping the files.

If you have thousands of photos in your Google Photos library, it’s probably a good idea to start this process on your computer. Once the download is done, you can unzip the file on your computer and then transfer it to your phone using a USB cable. This way, you don’t have to worry about whether your phone has enough space to download and unzip the file.

Photos Successfully Transferred

Good luck with downloading your photos to your phone’s gallery! To make sure you don’t lose any photos, it’s a good idea to keep a copy in Google Photos as well. This way, you can save space on your phone and still have access to your photos on all of your devices.
