Discovering Requests on Zelle

Discovering Requests on Zelle

Imagine this: you’re using Zelle, and you want to figure out how to see your incoming requests. It can be confusing, I know. But fear not, because I’m here to guide you through the process.

So, how do you actually see those requests? Well, let me tell you. First things first, you’ll need to open up the Zelle app on your device. Once you’re in, take a look at the main screen. That’s where the magic happens.

Right at the top, you’ll spot a menu icon – it looks like three little lines stacked on top of each other. Give it a gentle tap, and behold! A menu will appear before your eyes.

Now, scan the menu for a section called “Requests”. It might be hiding in a corner, so keep your eyes peeled. Once you’ve found it, go ahead and select it.

As soon as you do that, a brand new screen will reveal itself, showcasing all the requests waiting for your attention. It’s like unveiling a hidden treasure trove of requests!

From here, you have the power to review each request and decide how to proceed. Maybe you want to accept a request and send the money, or perhaps you prefer to decline it. The choice is yours.

And that’s it! You’ve successfully uncovered the secret to seeing requests on Zelle. See, it’s not so complicated after all, right? Now you can dive into your requests with confidence and handle them like a pro. Happy Zelle-ing!

Sending and receiving money with Zelle is as easy as pressing a button. And now, many financial institutions are jumping on board the Zelle train too!

But sometimes, keeping track of requests can get confusing.

What if you accidentally delete a notification when you receive a request? And did you remember to send a request to your friend who said they’d pay you back?

So, how can you make sure your friends and family never miss a payment?

Take a look at the steps below to track your activity and find out who needs money.

Online Banking

Most banks in the U.S. now have a partnership with Zelle. If you’re lucky enough to use Zelle directly from your bank’s online banking dashboard, here’s how you can check your requests:

Step 1 – Access Your Bank’s Online Dashboard

Login to your online banking account and look for the Zelle tab. The layout may vary from bank to bank, but all participating banks have a tab dedicated to Zelle transactions.

For example, if you have Bank of America, you’ll see a tab labeled “Transfer Zelle.”

For other banks, you might need to click on the “Send Money” tab first, then choose the “Send Money with Zelle” option.

Step 2 – Check the Activity Tab

The Zelle tab offers various options. Scroll down to find the “View Activity” option and click on it.

The Activity tab shows your transactions, including requests. This is like a standard ledger that resembles your bank statements. It displays all transfers and request activity associated with your Zelle account.

You can also use the “Change Filter Options” to show incoming and outgoing requests only. The options window also allows you to view the status of requests and transfers, as well as change the displayed date parameters.

Remember, different banks may have different interfaces.

Try clicking on the “Transactions Timeline” in the “Actions” field, and then selecting the “Requested” tab.

You can view individual requests by clicking on the specific request. From there, you can either view or cancel the payment request.

Mobile App

One of the perks of using Zelle is being able to send and request money on the go. No more waiting in long lines to deposit or withdraw cash. You can send and receive money with just a tap on your mobile app.

Checking your request activity is also quite simple with Zelle’s user-friendly interface.

Step 1 – Open the Zelle App

Start by going to your home screen or app drawer and tapping on the Zelle app to open it.

Step 2 – Check Your Request Activity

Once you have the Zelle app open, you’ll see a range of options. Select “View” or “Edit Zelle Activity” from your app’s homepage.

On the next screen, tap on “Requested” to view the list of requested Zelle deposits associated with your account.

What if you didn’t download the app?

You can still check your request activity on your mobile web browser.

Simply go to the Zelle page and sign in. Once you see your account dashboard, tap on the menu option in the upper left-hand corner.

Choose the “Send Money” option from the drop-down menu, and then tap on “Manage Payments.”

On the “Manage Payments” screen, look for the “Requested” tab. Tap on that selection to see any requested payments. If you need more details, you can also tap on the “Details” link to learn more about each individual request.

Before You Go…

Zelle is an excellent way to manage payments, and they’re making some changes. They now have partnerships with many banks and credit unions across the U.S.

So, if your bank or credit union offers Zelle, you can use it directly from your banking app. That means you don’t need to download the Zelle app separately!

Zelle is also gradually shifting how the app is used. They plan to offer the app to those whose financial institutions don’t provide Zelle directly. This might change how you access your request activity log.

If you’re one of the fortunate people whose bank or credit union offers Zelle, it might be easier to go directly to your online banking dashboard. Zelle plans to phase out users who have accounts through their bank from the app, so you won’t be able to use it in the near future.
