Combining iCloud Calendars on Your Mac

First things first, open up the Calendar app on your Mac. You can find it in your Applications folder or simply search for it using Spotlight. Once you have it open, it’s time to work some magic.
You might have noticed that you have multiple iCloud calendars that you want to merge into one. Well, you’re in luck! With just a few simple steps, we can bring all your calendars together seamlessly.
Now, click on the “Calendar” option in the menu bar, and select “Preferences” from the drop-down menu. A new window will pop up with some options. Don’t worry, you’re in the right place.
In this window, you’ll see a list of all the calendars you currently have. Take a moment to review them and make sure you know which ones you want to merge. Once you have that figured out, we can continue.
To merge your calendars, you need to uncheck the calendars you want to merge, so they are no longer displayed individually. Once they are unchecked, you should only see one combined calendar.
Great! Now that you have successfully merged your calendars, you can go ahead and close the Preferences window. Take a moment to admire your newly organized schedule.
From this point forward, all your events and appointments will be stored in a single iCloud calendar, making it much easier for you to keep track of everything. No more switching back and forth between different calendars!

When it comes to iCloud calendars, I’ve seen so many people with a ton of calendar categories. It makes sense to divide them into “Home” and “Work”, and maybe even a “Kids” category. But things start to get a little crazy when you’ve color-coded every aspect of your life, from different clients to your daughter’s soccer league and your dog’s obedience classes.
If you’ve created too many calendar categories and want to simplify things, don’t worry! You can merge iCloud calendars in just a few steps, which will make your schedule easier to manage.
What this process does is move all the events from one calendar to another and then delete the original calendar. So it’s important to back up before you start! Make sure you back up the calendars you’re working with by following the steps outlined on Apple’s support pages for exporting calendar events. Save these exported calendars on your desktop or somewhere safe, so you have a point to restore to if needed.
Just to let you know, you can also restore from an iCloud backup if something goes wrong. However, I wouldn’t rely solely on that option because it will revert all your calendars and reminders back to an earlier version, which is not ideal at all!
Once you’re confident that everything is backed up (or if you’re taking a risk without backups), here’s how you can merge iCloud calendars and tidy everything up:

- Open the Calendar app on your Mac and look at the sidebar. You should see a list of your calendars there. If not, click the “Calendars” button on the toolbar to show them.
I’ll show you a couple of other ways you can do this, too. For instance, you can right- or Control-click on the calendar you want to get rid of and choose Merge > [calendar to move events to]. 
Or you can use the menus at the top of your screen instead. To do this, click on the calendar you want to delete from the sidebar, and then choose Edit > Merge Calendar > [calendar to move events to]. 
Wow, there are a lot of ways to do things! But now, Fluffy’s events can happily coexist with your kids’ schedules. After all, Fluffy is part of the family too.
