My Thoughts on HyperCube Review – The Revolutionary Wireless Charger, Sleep Aid, Alarm, and Smart Light All in One Device

My Thoughts on HyperCube Review – The Revolutionary Wireless Charger, Sleep Aid, Alarm, and Smart Light All in One Device

Let’s talk about wireless charging, one of the hottest trends right now. As someone who always wants to try the latest chargers, I’m excited to give you a sneak preview of HyperCube, a unique wireless charger about to hit the market.

HyperCube, which just launched on Indiegogo, boasts a variety of features. Not only is it a wireless charging station that can charge up to three devices simultaneously, but it also acts as a sleep aid, alarm, and smart light. Yes, that little cube in the picture does all of that.

So, how does it work? I’ll explain that in a bit, but first let’s focus on the hero feature – wireless charging.

HyperCube: Wireless Charging Station with 3 Wireless Charging Pads

At its core, HyperCube is a Qi-wireless charging station that can charge up to three devices at once. What’s interesting is that the HyperCube itself can be used in three positions: laid flat, folded into a cube, or placed at a 45-degree angle (with the optional speaker add-on).

Wireless Charging Specs

  • Works with the International Qi Standard
  • Can charge three Qi-enabled smartphones or devices simultaneously (both Apple and Android)
  • Consists of one 10W charging pad (adjusts to 7.5W for iPhones) and two 5W charging pads
  • Can be used flat or as a folded cube
  • Includes built-in hooks for holding phones in place and clip-on holders for small devices like Apple Watch or AirPods

In Use

What I love most about HyperCube is its ability to charge three devices at once. No more picking and choosing which device to charge overnight. With three wireless charging pads, it provides more than enough charging for all our Qi-enabled gear.

I mainly used HyperCube in its flat position, as it’s very convenient for charging three smartphones simultaneously. During a team brainstorming session that went late into the night, we had a game of “musical phones,” swapping devices in and out. Surprisingly, the charging speed was impressive, especially on the middle 10W pad. My S8 went from dead to 50% in just one hour and four minutes.

Another feature I really liked were the grippy silicone rings on each pad. They helped keep everything in place, preventing devices from slipping out of the charging position.

Although I primarily used HyperCube flat, I absolutely loved the cube position. It’s hands down the coolest wireless charger I’ve used. The built-in legs are secure and kept three phones in place while charging. I also can’t wait for the Apple Watch and AirPods clips to be available.

HyperCube also comes with its own high powered adapter and USB type-C cable, so you don’t have to worry about buying your own.

Maybe it’s because I was once a Tetris addict, but I enjoy having a wireless charger that can be folded into different shapes and positions. But what took it to the next level were the surprising add-ons…

Now let’s dive into the other two sides of HyperCube: the light alarm, sleep aid, and more!

HyperCube is a Light Alarm, Sleep Aid, and More!

In addition to the three wireless charging panels, HyperCube’s remaining two panels offer something completely different. One features a full LED smart light, while the other serves as an interface for the integrated sleep aid, alarm, and smart light functionality.

  • Built-in speaker
  • Bluetooth 4.2 connectivity
  • LED light panel with 16 million color options
  • On-device buttons for control without an app
  • App-enabled for full control
  • Pre-set LED light colors, sleep sounds, alarm sounds, and sunrise simulations (without using the app)

The team behind HyperCube wanted to simplify and streamline the way we recharge at night and improve our sleep. While the charging pads take care of our devices, the other two panels take care of us. Combined, they replace everything else we typically use to sleep and wake up. To test this, I cleared off my bedside table – USB cables, alarm clock, HUE lamp, and old Jambox were all gone.

To access these features, there are two options:

  1. Control through the device’s touchscreen buttons
  2. Control through the HyperCube app (currently in development)

I found the touchscreen buttons to be intuitive and easy to use, providing more functionality than I expected.

Setting an Alarm

If you choose to set a classic sound alarm directly on HyperCube, you can select from three predefined alarm sounds: classic, nature sounds, or soft music. The small speaker built into HyperCube works well, about as powerful as most smartphones. To turn off the alarm, simply tap the alarm button on the HyperCube panel. The button might be a bit tricky to locate at first, but once you get used to it, it’s easy. And waking up to harp sounds is quite pleasant.

Setting Sleep Sounds

I started incorporating sleep sounds into my routine after reading Ariana Huffington’s book, The Sleep Revolution. If you’re a restless or light sleeper like me, sleep sounds really help to achieve deep REM sleep. HyperCube offers three pre-selected sleep sounds: ocean, forest, and rain (with more options available once the app is released).

Smart Light

The Smart LED Light Panel on the back is a game-changer. I used to hate waking up in the middle of the night and stumbling to find the light switch, only to be blinded by the sudden brightness. With the Bluetooth LED Light Panel, I simply tap the HyperCube twice to turn it on, and tap it twice again to turn it off. It’s so simple yet awesome. Plus, you can pair multiple panels to place them around your home, so you never have to stumble in the dark. These panels wirelessly charge on HyperCube, so you can easily keep them powered up.

HyperCube has definitely improved my sleep. It has made my bedtime routine and waking up much simpler with just one device and one app.

I’ve even found myself using these features beyond bedtime. Whether in the office or at home, I can enjoy nature tracks or use the LED light to improve my mood. It’s like having a portable sleep aid and mood booster in one.

Conclusion

Psych! We’re not done yet. More exciting features are on the way with HyperCube Ultimate. Keep reading.

HyperCube Ultimate – Taking it to the Next Level

Just when you thought there couldn’t possibly be any more features, the team behind HyperCube has taken it a step further.

To elevate HyperCube even more, they have created a range of accessories called HyperCube Ultimate, available on their Indiegogo funding page.

Still with me? Ready to explore? Here’s the breakdown:

HyperCube Speaker Base

  • Bluetooth 4.2 connectivity for pairing with your phone and HyperCube app
  • 4 x 3.5W speakers
  • USB Type-C charging
  • Four integrated flex buttons on the display for power, volume, and pairing control
  • 3 x USB Type-A outlets for charging non-wireless devices simultaneously

The HyperCube speaker base is a fantastic addition, offering cleaner and more powerful sound. It takes HyperCube’s sleep sounds and sound alarm functionality to the next level. The speakers act as a base for HyperCube, fitting perfectly underneath and providing a full 360-degree surround sound experience with four speakers.

I found myself using the speakers beyond my sleep routine. Whether at the office or home, I could connect them to Spotify, enjoy music, and keep my iPhone charged all at once, without worrying about battery life.

The speaker base also includes three additional USB-A ports for traditional charging, allowing you to charge up to six devices simultaneously.

HyperCube Power Bank

This add-on is the coolest of them all. By removing the battery from the charging pad and speaker, GGTR turned it into a stand-alone power bank. It combines the benefits of battery-less devices (smaller, lighter, cheaper) with the convenience of a battery (portability, freedom). The power bank works independently as a powerful portable charger, with the speaker base for a portable Bluetooth speaker system, with HyperCube for wireless charging, or with both the speaker and HyperCube for wireless charging on-the-go. The integration is seamless, and the power bank automatically charges when used with the speaker base and HyperCube. For someone like me who often forgets to charge their power bank, this feature is a godsend.

HyperCube Bluetooth LED Light Panel

My first thought after trying the HyperCube with the Bluetooth LED Light Panel was, “why didn’t anyone think of this before?” It’s a game-changer. No more stumbling in the darkness when waking up at night and going to the bathroom. Simply tap the HyperCube twice to turn on the Bluetooth LED Light Panel, and tap it twice again to turn it off. It’s simple, but extremely useful. What’s even better is that you can pair multiple panels, placing them wherever you need light, whether it’s the bathroom, hallway, or even under your bed to prevent toe stubbing. These panels wirelessly charge on HyperCube, so you can easily keep them powered up.

Conclusion

HyperCube is not only visually stunning and mechanically impressive, but it’s also a joy to use. However, there’s still room for improvement, especially with the app. The app will unlock a whole new set of features and customization options. Though not the cheapest wireless charger on the market, HyperCube’s performance, versatility, and added functionality make it a solid choice for anyone with multiple wireless charging devices.

Moving forward, the product and app ecosystem of HyperCube allow for more creativity and flexibility than any other wireless charger I have seen. I’m excited to integrate it into my daily routine and will be on the lookout for other GGTR products in the future.
