Installing TeaTV on Your Amazon Firestick TV
So, you’ve got yourself an Amazon Firestick TV and you’re ready to enhance your streaming experience. Well, you’re in luck! Today, I’m going to guide you through the process of installing TeaTV on your Firestick TV. Trust me, it’s easier than you think.
First things first. Let’s make sure you have all the necessary ingredients for this installation recipe. You’ll need your Amazon Firestick TV – of course! – and a stable internet connection. Oh, and a dash of enthusiasm won’t hurt either. Now, let’s get started!
Step one: Prepare your Firestick TV. Go to the settings menu by selecting the gear icon on the home screen. From there, navigate to “My Fire TV” and click on it. Now, scroll down and choose “Developer Options”. Don’t worry, we’re not building a rocket. Just enable the “Apps from Unknown Sources” option.
Step two: It’s time to brew that TeaTV goodness. Fire up your Firestick TV and go to the home screen again. Now, you need to find the search icon – it looks like a magnifying glass. Click on it and type in “Downloader”. When you see the Downloader app in the search results, select it and hit the “Get” button.
Step three: Once the Downloader app is installed, open it up. Here comes the fun part. You’re going to enter a URL to download TeaTV. Don’t worry, I’ve got the URL right here for you: [input_url_here]. Type it in and hit enter.
Step four: Wait for the download to finish. Once it’s done, a little window will pop up. Go ahead and click on the “Install” button. Easy peasy, right?
Step five: Almost there! After the installation is complete, you’ll see a confirmation message. Just click on “Done”.
Step six: It’s time to savor the flavor. Head back to the home screen and scroll down to “Your Apps & Channels”. Keep scrolling until you find TeaTV. And that’s it! You’ve successfully installed TeaTV on your Amazon Firestick TV. Now you can indulge in all your favorite shows and movies.
Just a friendly reminder – it’s always good to enjoy your streaming responsibly and make sure you’re using legitimate sources. So sit back, relax, and let the entertainment begin!
Note: Make sure to remove the brackets and enter the correct URL in step three.
Amazon’s line of Fire TV devices is awesome for so many reasons, and one of them is how open the platform is. Whether you have the $39 Fire Stick or the $119 Fire Cube, they all run on Fire OS, which is a modified version of Android. This means you can make all sorts of changes to your device. Sure, you can find popular apps like Netflix and Hulu on the Amazon Appstore, but you can also add apps that aren’t traditionally supported, like YouTube, Kodi, or, in this case, Tea TV, by using the settings menu on your device.
If you don’t know what Tea TV is, it’s a streaming-piracy app that’s similar to Showbox or Popcorn Time. You can choose from a long list of movies and TV episodes to watch for free. From new releases to old classics, Tea TV has a lot of content to offer. The best part is, you can browse the application without having to deal with any other apps like Mouse Toggle. So, if you want to know how to install Tea TV on your Fire Stick, you’re in the right place. In this guide, I’ll show you how to set up your Fire Stick for streaming, turn on the installation process, and download the installation file from the web. Let’s get started!
Using a VPN
When you use Tea TV, you’re streaming copyrighted content that’s hosted online. Some people take the risk of streaming pirated content without using a VPN, but I highly recommend using a VPN service to protect your data. This is especially important if you’re using one of the less-than-legal services on this list. Having a VPN is hardly ever the wrong choice because it adds privacy to your device. It’s not necessary to use a VPN to enjoy your favorite services, but it’s always a good idea to keep your personal information safe from internet service providers and online companies. However, a VPN isn’t right for everyone.
Typically, your Fire Stick doesn’t require a VPN. But if you’ve landed on this page, it’s probably because you’re using your Fire Stick for something other than the standard apps on the Amazon Appstore. Whether it’s basic piracy apps like Showbox or Terrarium TV, or more complex applications like Kodi that let you fully customize your Fire Stick with a new interface and thousands of apps and add-ons to completely change the way you watch movies, these systems are easy to set up and use. However, there’s a big reason why some people stay away from them: they’re not entirely legal. While many people get away with consuming pirated content online every day, it’s important to remember that not everyone gets away with it. If your internet service provider catches you, you could face consequences like losing your internet access or even receiving major fines from organizations like the MPAA.
So, if you want to consume pirated content on your Fire Stick while staying safe, the best thing you can do is use a VPN. Most popular VPNs weren’t designed specifically for piracy, but they do help keep your online activities private. This means you can watch the latest hit series online without having to pay for cable or subscribe to another streaming service. Enabling Unknown Apps
To install apps from sources other than the Amazon Appstore on your Fire Stick, you need to turn on the option in your device settings. Start by waking up your Fire TV and hold the Home button on your Fire TV remote to open the quick actions menu. From there, select the settings menu to access your preferences. Alternatively, you can go to the home screen of your Fire TV and scroll all the way to the right until you find the settings option.
Scroll through the settings menu from left to right until you find “My Fire TV” (or “Device” in older versions of Fire OS). Click on “My Fire TV” to access the device settings. Most of the options here are for restarting or putting your device to sleep, as well as viewing the software settings for your Fire Stick. However, there’s one option we need to change before we can proceed. Click on “Developer Options” from the device settings menu. It should be the second option from the top, after “About”.
When it comes to Developer Options on Fire OS, there are only two settings that matter: ADB debugging and Apps from Unknown Sources. ADB debugging lets you connect your device to a computer using Android Debug Bridge. But don’t worry, we won’t be using that for now, so you can just leave it as it is. Instead, focus on the setting below ADB. Scroll down and press the center button to activate it. This setting allows you to install apps from sources other than the Amazon Appstore. It’s an important step if we want to sideload Tea TV onto our device. Now, a warning may pop up here, cautioning you about the potential risks of downloading apps from unknown sources. Just click OK on the prompt, and then press the Home button on your remote to go back to the home screen.
Now that we have enabled the option to install apps from unknown sources, we are almost there. The next step is to install an application from the Amazon Appstore so that we can download and install these APK files properly. By default, your Fire Stick is not able to do this. Although there is no specific browser app available for download in the App Store, there is an app that lets you directly download content onto your device.
Get Downloader
When you’re ready to download a new app on your Fire Stick, there are a few ways you can do it. You can use the built-in search function or simply ask Alexa to help you out. Just say “Download,” “Downloader,” or “Browser” and you’ll find the app we need. It’s called Downloader and it’s exactly what we’re looking for. You can recognize it by its bright orange icon with a down-facing arrow, and it’s developed by “AFTVnews.com.”
Downloader is a popular app with a large user base, and it’s highly recommended for your device. To add it to your Fire Stick, just go to the Amazon Appstore listing for Downloader and hit the download button. Once we’re done with the installation process, you can uninstall the app if you don’t want to keep it around. Don’t worry, we won’t need it after that.
After I finish installing the app, I can simply tap the Open button on the app listing to open Downloader on my device. I’ll encounter various pop-up messages and alerts about updates to the application along the way, and I’ll need to click through them until I reach the main screen. Downloader offers several useful tools, conveniently presented on the left side of the app, such as a browser, a file system, settings, and more. However, what we really need is the URL entry field that occupies most of the screen within the app.
Getting the APK file
Now that I have Downloader installed, I can finally move forward with installing Tea TV. All I need is the proper APK download link for the application, and luckily, I have a direct link to Tea TV. To install it on my Fire Stick, I’ll use my Fire Stick remote to type the following URL into the provided field, and then hit Go.
http://bit.ly/techjunkieteatv
This link will give me a recent version of Tea TV, and the great thing is that the app has an auto-update feature. This means that once I launch the app, I can update it easily. Now that I have the Tea TV APK downloaded on my device, all that’s left to do is install the app directly. When the installation display for Tea TV appears on my screen, I’ll see a familiar screen that tells me what Tea TV can access. If I’ve installed APKs on Android devices before, this screen will look familiar, even though it has an Amazon theme. I’ll use my remote to highlight and select the “Install” button, and my device will start installing the app.
Finishing Installation
Once the installation is complete, I’ll use the menu button on my remote to open the app on my device. When Tea TV opens on my Fire Stick, I’ll be given the option to update the app. This is normal and I should definitely choose to update the application. The update doesn’t take long, and once it’s finished, I’ll see the standard Tea TV layout. At this point, the installation is done and I can start exploring the options for streaming on Tea TV.
I can browse through the listings in the app itself and the categories on the right using my Fire Remote. However, there is one odd thing about the navigation that I noticed when it comes to playback. When I’m streaming content using the app, I have to use the directional pad on my remote for control, rather than the playback controls. Tea TV is primarily an Android app, so even though it supports remote navigation, I have to select the play and pause button on the screen to control playback of my show or movie, instead of using the actual buttons on my remote.
Despite this minor drawback, everything else on our device functioned perfectly, allowing me to effortlessly modify settings, options, stream settings, and much more directly on the device.
Tea TV stands out as one of our preferred streaming apps installed on the Fire Stick, but there is a plethora of other apps to explore. Keep an eye on TechJunkie for additional Fire Stick guides, which will include instructions for sideloading some of the top-notch apps available online today.
