Inviting People to Groups

5. Tap “OK.”

Inviting People to Group Calls

WeChat allows group calls for up to nine people. You can only initiate group calls with members of the group.

3. Choose “Voice Call.”
4. Select the group members you want to talk to.
5. Tap “Start” in the top-right corner.

If you initiated the group call, you can also enable video call mode, mute your microphone, or enable the speaker mode for the entire group call. Please note that your WeChat version must be 6.3.5 or later for these features to work.

Removing Someone from a Group

If you’re the owner or leader of a group, you can remove someone from the group. Here’s how:

1. Open the group chat window.
2. Tap the “…” icon.
3. Find the person you want to remove.
4. Tap and hold their profile picture.
5. Tap the red circle when it appears.

Removing someone from the group does not ban them. If your group has fewer than 100 members, they can rejoin using the QR code. You can also reinvite them at a later date if there is room available.
