Discovering Who Unfollowed You on Instagram
Hey there! Today, I want to share a neat trick to uncover who has unfollowed you on Instagram. I know it can be a bummer to lose followers without understanding why, so let’s get right into it!
To begin, I need to mention that we’ll be using a simple tool that allows us to easily find out who stopped following us on Instagram. Don’t worry, it’s completely safe and doesn’t require any fancy technical skills.
First things first, you must have an Instagram account. If you don’t, go ahead and create one. Once you’re in, it’s time to locate the app store on your device and search for an application called “Followers Insight.” Download and install this app as it will be our trusty companion on this journey.
Now that you have the app ready to go, open it up and log in using your Instagram credentials. This way, the app will have access to your account and provide you with the necessary insights. Once you’re logged in, wait a moment for the app to retrieve your data and display your current followers.
Alright, here comes the exciting part! Within the app, you’ll find a section that specifically shows you who has unfollowed you. Simply tap or click on it, and voila! A list will appear, revealing the accounts that are no longer following you.
Take a moment to process this information. It can be surprising or even a little disheartening to see who decided to unfollow you. But remember, it’s not about quantity; it’s about quality. The important thing is to have genuine connections and engage with those who truly value your content.
Now that you know who has unfollowed you, you can reflect on your Instagram journey. Maybe it’s time to spruce up your content, try a new approach, or simply continue being true to yourself. Remember, social media is a platform for self-expression and connection, so don’t let the numbers define your worth.
Lastly, I urge you to use this newfound knowledge not to hold grudges or seek revenge, but instead as an opportunity for personal growth. Focus on building a community of supportive individuals who appreciate what you bring to the table. And who knows, maybe those who unfollowed you will return one day, and they’ll be captivated by the amazing content you’ve been sharing.
So, there you have it! I hope this guide has been helpful in learning how to view who has unfollowed you on Instagram. Stay authentic, keep engaging with your followers, and remember that your worth goes beyond numbers on a social media platform. Happy Instagramming!
We’ve all been there: you’re scrolling through your Instagram, and out of boredom or curiosity, you decide to check your follower count. Maybe you’ve been doing well and gaining followers, so you want to see if there are any new ones. After all, you’ve been on a roll with your posts lately. But then, it happens — someone unfollowed you. You see your follower count drop by one, and you have no idea who it was. You start scanning through your follower list, but it’s no use. There are too many unfamiliar names. The user is gone, and you’ll never know who it was.
Well, until now. It might be too late for that unfollower, but with some help, you can set up systems to catch your Instagram unfollowers in the act. There are different services available for iOS, Android, and the web that can help you keep an eye on your follower count. That way, the next time someone leaves your Instagram feed, you can retaliate by unfollowing them as well. It’s a bit of an “eye for an eye” mentality.
Jokes aside, there are a few methods we’ve found for tracking Instagram unfollowers. All you need is an email address, some account information, and a little time to set up. While they might not always work, these are currently the best methods available. Let’s take a look at some of the ways to document your Instagram unfollowers.
And as always, there’s a warning: Instagram sometimes makes sudden changes to their API and platform, which can temporarily disable tracking apps like the ones we recommend below. We’ll keep an eye on the list to make sure these apps are functioning properly.
Here’s our recommendation:
InstaFollow (iOS/Android)
InstaFollow (or InsTrack on iOS), developed by Innovatty LLC, is an all-in-one social community management app. It can track almost everything on Instagram, including your follower and unfollower count, users who have blocked you, your most and least popular posts, and more. It works on multiple platforms, making it one of our favorite tools for tracking and collecting data from Instagram. It’s great for managing professional accounts or keeping track of your personal account.
On iOS, where the app is called InsTrack, it has a sleek design that follows Apple’s standards. Once you log in to your Instagram account on the app, you’ll see a well-organized page with all the information you could want from an Instagram-tracking app. The top of the page shows your follower and following count along with a banner, and your own account icon. Below that, you’ll find links to view different account information within InstaFollow/InsTrack. You can see engagement, media insight, and “featured users.” Right below that, you’ll see important information like users who have blocked you and your lost and gained follower count.
Hey there! So, I’ve gotta be real with you about this Android app called InstaFollow. Unfortunately, it hasn’t been updated in ages – the last update was way back in 2015. Meanwhile, the iOS version got an update in February 2017. And let’s talk about the design, or lack thereof. It’s got this kinda outdated web app look that reminds me of Gingerbread, and honestly, it’s not very appealing or professional. But hey, that doesn’t mean it’s not worth checking out, especially if you’re just a regular user. Most of the info you’ll find here is pretty much the same as what you’d see on the iOS version of the app. Your follower and following count show up at the top of the page, and below that, you’ll find your blockers, lost and gained followers, and mutual friends. And get this – you can even follow and unfollow users right from the insights tab. Pretty handy, huh?
Unfortunately, this app has a pretty significant drawback: in-app purchases. To access most of the features we mentioned earlier, you’ll have to pay. And it’s not just a one-time payment or a monthly subscription to track your followers. No, InstaFollow and InsTrack charge you for each feature you want, with prices ranging from $.99 to $2.99 per pack. The best option for saving money is to pay $6.99 for “all packs” on iOS, but it’s unclear if this will cover future features added to the app. On Android, it’s even worse because InstaFollow doesn’t seem to offer an “all packs” purchase at all. Plus, with Instagram constantly changing, there’s always a risk that these apps may stop working properly. Both the iOS and Android versions have had issues in the past, leaving buyers with no access while the developers fixed the problems. However, despite the cost of purchasing features, InstaFollow and InsTrack are still among our top picks on their respective platforms. You should definitely give them a try.
Runner Up
Followers+ (iOS/Android)
Another app available for both iOS and Android, Followers+ for Instagram is designed for social media professionals and dedicated users of both platforms. Unlike InstaFollow/InsTrack, these apps have the same name and design, with the Android version being a direct port of the classic iOS app. Followers+ follows the same concept as other platforms, but with a slightly more polished interface—and a higher price tag. Let’s take a closer look.
Both the iOS and Android versions of Followers+ have identical designs and features, so we can compare them together. Followers+ looks much more professional than its competitor, InstaFollow. The app has a clean dark and light blue design, with graphs and numbers that help you keep track of your content all at once. At the top of the app, you’ll see icons for your follower count, percentages that show your engagement rates with posts, and a line graph that displays engagement with your last seven posts. This app goes beyond simple follower counts, showing that it’s designed to track everything you could ever want from Instagram.
Hey there! I’m here to give you the lowdown on the cool features and insights provided by Followers+. Brace yourself for some awesome information coming your way!
Once you dive into the following pages, you’ll uncover a treasure trove of information. Helpful charts will show you engagement rates and ratings, as well as your follower and following counts. You can even track changes in these categories over time. Plus, you’ll be able to see who has blocked you and who hasn’t connected with you yet. Talk about valuable knowledge! And that’s not all – you can also view likes by user, allowing you to easily identify your most and least passionate followers in an instant. How cool is that? You can even take a geographical look at your connections. And if you’re a brand or a social media manager, there’s a nifty feature called Followers+ that lets you schedule posts. Handy, right?
Now, let’s get real for a moment. Like similar apps, such as InstaFollow/InsTrack, Followers+ has some seriously expensive in-app purchases. In fact, they’re even pricier than our top pick. On iOS, you’ll have to pay for insight packs and engagement packs, both labeled as optional content. And guess what? The Pro pack for Followers+ doesn’t even include this feature. Talk about a bummer. On top of that, the Pro pack itself costs a hefty $11.99, and if you want the Twitter functionality, you’ll need to cough up an additional $9.99. Hold on, it gets even more confusing – there are two different “Twitter Pro” packs that are both called the same thing, but one costs $9.99 while the other only costs $2.99. Phew! Android users aren’t spared either, as the complete pack can also set you back $11.99, with even less detail about what each pack offers. Oh, and the reviews for Followers+? They’re a mixed bag, averaging a 3.5 on both the App Store and Google Play Store. Some users swear it’s great, while others have had nothing but problems. So, your experience may vary, as they say.
But don’t fret! There are still plenty of things to love about Followers+. The design is sleek and appealing, even though it might seem a bit out of place on Android. And while the app is pricey, the pricing seems to be similar between the iOS and Android versions. It’s also getting some positive press, which is always a good sign, even if the user reviews are a bit mixed. My advice? Definitely give it a try, but take it for a spin first before shelling out your hard-earned cash on those expensive in-app purchases and “Pro” versions.
Now, let’s talk about everyone else.
Statusbrew (Web)
Alright, buckle up because we’re shifting gears now. Statusbrew, formerly known as Unfollow.me, is a web-based client that’s all about analytics and data research for social media managers. It may not be your go-to app for keeping tabs on whether your high school buddies still follow you on Instagram, but don’t let that stop you! Statusbrew can track, schedule, and perform all sorts of social management tasks that may make the average user’s head spin. But if you’re a social media enthusiast or a small business owner, this is definitely worth a look.
Let’s start with the basics. I’m a small company called Statusbrew and I exist to make life easier for social media managers and PR representatives like you. My goal is to help you with your daily tasks, from creating social media posts to keeping track of your follower count on various platforms, like Instagram. Not only that, but I also help you connect with users who might be interested in your content. It may sound like a lot to handle, but that’s where my flexibility comes in to save the day.
Now, if you’re only interested in keeping an eye on your Instagram numbers, there are simpler options out there. Don’t get me wrong, I can do that too. But I offer so much more in terms of functionality that the price might be a little steep for those who just want to monitor their Instagram stats.
Statusbrew doesn’t come cheap. Unlike the other options we’ve discussed, my app has a subscription pricing model, although I do offer a free tier. The free tier gives you access to one social network profile, basic follow and unfollow numbers, 100 queued posts, and the ability to schedule posts on Instagram. But if you need additional features or access to multiple accounts, you’ll need to invest at least $20 per month, billed annually. This pricing structure is mainly because I’m primarily built for professionals and businesses. So it’s important to know what you’re signing up for before deciding to use Statusbrew for personal use.
If you’re thinking about spending $240 or more to have control over your social accounts, including Instagram, here’s what you’ll get with Statusbrew: ten social profiles, Twitter automation, social “intelligence” and publishing for all your accounts, and unlimited use of the follow and unfollow features. That’s why Statusbrew is worth considering. It offers more in-depth and accurate reporting than the other tools we recommend—it’s a powerful social business tool. But, of course, this level of functionality comes with a price tag that most users would find too expensive just to find out who unfollowed them on Instagram.
However, I do recommend checking out Statusbrew’s free tier. It’s definitely better than the other two tools on our list in terms of reliability and stability. Just keep in mind that the limitations of the “free” version will become apparent as you start using it.
